Welcome to Telecommunication Studies 1500. This class is for majors only. It reviews the curriculum of the Telecommunication Studies Major here at Youngstown State. We'll look at how successful students become successful. No matter well or how poorly you may done in school up until this point, you can be successful here at Youngstown State.

In this class, we'll look at how successful students plan, work, prioritize tasks so that they do the things that most contribute to achieving their goals. It is important to realize that most of your success here at Youngstown State will be result of your planning and efforts at becoming successful.

This class will explore how you can be successful in college. In this major in particular, you must plan and make serious efforts to achieve the very best that you can. The Telecommunication Studies program has an requirement of a 3.00 in ENG 1550, TCOM 1581 and TCOM 1580 or TCOM 1570 and at least 15 hours completed. Additionally, the Telecommunication field is very competitive. Many people would like to be in the field, so employers can afford to choose only the very best. If you do not intend to be one of the very best, perhaps a less competitive field will better fit your goals.
